Excluding files/folders from scheduled scans

The Appvance IQ installation package is roughly 2 GB, of which the vast majority remains unchanged within a given build. Scans of this folder should only exclude on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, and not actively scanned. Failing to exclude the Appvance IQ directory from active scans may cause unexpected behavior and impact performance.

The following represent a handful of the popular Anti-virus solutions for which Appvance IQ files and folders should be excluded:

• AVG Anti-virus

• Avast Anti-virus

• Kasperskey Anti-virus

• McAfee Virus Scan

• Norton Anti-virus

• Symantec Endpoint protection

• Windows Defender
