By default, McAfee will scan .JAR and .CLASS archive files for viruses.This slows down the performance of Appvance AIQ.
See this article on Slow performance with Java-based applications for more information. Is is recommended that you make this change on every machine running McAfree and is also running Appvance IQ.
Other possible cause for slowness behaviour is deprecated use of the nssm.exe utility to run Appvance IQ as a service. Remove that service and use Task Scheduler plus Autologon sysinternals utility to create a Basic Task that starts Appvance IQ automatically.
