Installing Appium

Appium is an open source test automation framework for use with native, hybrid and mobile web apps.

It drives iOS, Android, and Windows apps using the WebDriver protocol.

1. Download Appium Server from https://github.com/appium/appium-desktop/releases/tag/v1.22.3-4

2. Choose the appropriate installer, Android or MacOS.

3. Launch the installer.

   

4. Follow the installation steps and select the default settings.

If you are running MacOS Ventura or newer versions please refer to Troubleshooting Appium and MacOS Ventura in order to run Appium Server.
