Best Practices to Improve AIQ Performance

Use these practices to keep AIQ executions stable and results reliable. Performance tuning should consider the AIQ Controller, Test Nodes, database, browser capacity, network path, and the application under test.

Execution practices

• Validate scenarios with a small run before scaling load.
• Use realistic ramp-up and ramp-down periods.
• Keep test data reusable, resettable, and separate from scenario logic.
• Avoid unnecessary fixed waits; use Scenario Editor conditional waits where possible.

Environment practices

1. Size Test Nodes for the execution type and expected browser or user count.
2. Monitor CPU, memory, disk, network, and browser/driver health during large runs.
3. Keep AIQ, browser, driver, and operating-system versions aligned with release guidance.
4. Document environment changes before comparing performance results.
