# Configure AIQ Jira Cloud Integration

# Configure AIQ Jira Cloud Integration

Use the Jira Cloud integration to connect AIQ execution findings with Jira tracking. Configuration details can vary by Jira tenant and AIQ release, so confirm the approved authentication and permission model before setup.

## Before configuring

- Confirm the Jira Cloud site, project, and issue type that AIQ should use.
- Use an approved integration account or token management process.
- Verify the account has permission to create and update the required Jira issues.
- Document required custom fields and mappings before enabling the integration.

## Validation workflow

1. Configure the Jira Cloud connection in AIQ using approved credentials.
2. Create or update a test issue from a non-production execution.
3. Confirm required fields, links, and attachments are populated as expected.
4. Record troubleshooting notes for permission or field-mapping errors.

# Configure AIQ Jira Server Integration

**Last reviewed:** September 29, 2026

Use this article when AIQ needs to connect to an on-premises or self-managed Jira Server/Data Center instance.

## What changed in this article

- Separated Jira Server/Data Center guidance from Jira Cloud guidance.
- Added checks for base URL, network route, authentication method, project key, issue type, required fields, and custom-field mappings.
- Added a legacy note because Jira Server is no longer the default Atlassian path for many customers.

## Validation workflow

1. Confirm whether the customer uses Jira Server/Data Center rather than Jira Cloud.
2. Validate AIQ can reach the Jira base URL and authenticate with the approved account.
3. Create a test issue and verify required fields, attachments, and status transitions.

**Review note:** The page now clearly scopes Jira Server/Data Center and avoids mixing it with Jira Cloud token workflows.

# Jira Integration API Notes

# Jira Integration API Notes

This page keeps API-level notes for Jira integration. Use the main Jira Cloud integration article as the canonical setup guide for configuration, permissions, and troubleshooting.

## Use this page for

- Confirming which Jira objects AIQ needs to create or update.
- Documenting API authentication requirements for the approved Jira environment.
- Capturing troubleshooting notes for API responses, permissions, or field mappings.

## Maintenance guidance

1. Do not duplicate the full Jira Cloud setup procedure here.
2. Keep endpoint and permission notes aligned with the maintained Jira Cloud integration article.
3. Remove examples that expose tokens, tenant-specific URLs, or internal project keys.
