Correlation in JMeter for AIQ Tests

Use correlation in JMeter when dynamic values from one response must be captured and reused in later requests during AIQ executions.

Recommended guidance

• Identify session IDs, tokens, hidden fields, and other dynamic values before scaling load.
• Use extractors and variables instead of hard-coded values.
• Validate correlation with one user before running a load test.

Validation workflow

1. Record or inspect the request sequence and find dynamic values.
2. Add the appropriate JMeter extractor for each value.
3. Reference extracted variables in downstream requests.
4. Run a single-user debug execution and confirm values update each iteration.
5. Scale gradually and monitor errors that indicate missed correlation.

Note: Missed correlation is a common cause of false failures in performance tests.
