Run Functional Scenarios from a TestNG JAR in AIQ
Use this guidance for existing TestNG class JARs that are still required by an AIQ workflow. For new functional automation, use current Scenario Editor patterns unless a Java/TestNG integration is specifically required.
Pre-run checklist
Confirm the JAR was built from the intended source revision.
Verify all required dependencies are packaged or available to the execution host.
Confirm browser, driver, Java, and environment compatibility.
Use approved credentials and test data stored outside the JAR.
Validation steps
Run the JAR in the CI or local maintenance environment.
Execute a small AIQ validation run.
Review output for classpath, driver, locator, and data errors.
Document whether the asset remains maintained or should be migrated to Scenario Editor.
