# Unable to run scenario in AIQ due to DB connection error

User is getting below error while trying to run scenarios in AIQ

**"<span style="color: rgb(43,46,47);">Database connection failed: Io exception: The Network Adopter could not establish the connection</span>"**

The above issue is because DB is not reachable and hence AIQ is not able to establish connection.

Please follow the below points to make sure DB is up and running

1\) Go to Option page in AIQ

2\) Go to Preferences-&gt;Results

3\) Click "Test Connection"

4\) If you get a pop up "Connection success" then the DB is up and running and you can the scenario without any issues

5\) if you still receive an error then there is an issue with your DB.
