Antivirus Settings for AIQ Hosts
Recommended guidance
Antivirus or endpoint protection tools can affect AIQ installation, browser execution, file extraction, repositories, logs, and Test Node performance. Coordinate any exclusions with the customer’s IT/security team and document exactly what was approved.
Symptoms to investigate
- Slow extraction, installation, startup, or upgrade operations.
- Browser drivers, temporary files, downloaded artifacts, or logs being quarantined.
- Intermittent Test Node failures or unusually slow scenario playback.
- Repository or dependency files blocked during execution.
Safe review process
- Confirm the antivirus product, policy owner, affected host, and exact AIQ path.
- Review logs from both AIQ and the endpoint protection tool.
- Request the narrowest possible approved exclusion, never a broad system-wide bypass.
- Retest installation, extraction, browser playback, and Test Node execution after policy changes.
- Record the approved policy, date, and owner in environment documentation.
