Disable "Are you sure you want to leave this page" notice in IE9

The "Are you sure you want to leave this page" notice in Internet Explorer 9 is a browser-level dialog and is not part of the page's DOM. Therefore, it cannot be handled like a regular HTML element using Appvance/Sahi selectors.

This notice is typically triggered by JavaScript running on the page, such as the beforeunload event.

To prevent the notice from appearing, disable Active scripting in Internet Explorer:

  1. Select Start, enter Internet Options, and select Internet Options.
  2. Select the Security tab.
  3. Click Custom Level.
  4. Scroll down to Scripting.
  5. Under Active scripting, select Disable.
  6. Click OK and apply the changes.

Disabling Active scripting prevents the page's JavaScript from triggering the browser-level confirmation dialog.

Note: Disabling Active scripting can affect other JavaScript-based functionality on the page. Use this setting only when required for the test environment.
