Recommended guidance

Install GraalVM 11 only when the AIQ version or legacy deployment requires it. For current environments, verify the supported runtime in the AIQ release notes or system requirements before installing or changing Java runtimes.

Before installation

• Confirm AIQ version, operating system, CPU architecture, and supported GraalVM build.
• Download from an approved source and verify the archive when possible.
• Plan environment variables, service account access, and installation path.
• Back up existing runtime configuration before replacement.

Validation workflow

1. Confirm the GraalVM version from the account that starts AIQ.
2. Restart AIQ services after configuration changes.
3. Review logs for runtime, path, or permission errors.
4. Run representative smoke tests before returning the environment to users.
