FAQ

  1. Question about the usage of port 9090 for HTTP and HTTPS

It was mentioned that 9090 can be used for both HTTP and HTTPS. I guess what you are saying is that 9090 can be used both in HTTP and HTTPS and is required. 9091 is used for HTTPS only and is also required?

    1. On the AIQ controller, you do NOT need to open either 9090 or 9091 for incoming test designer connections.

Ports 9090 and 9091 are used in the local communication that happens between the browser on your local computer and the Test Designer client running on your local computer (or locally within the test nodes when running scenarios)

So AIQ controller and test nodes instances should have 9090 and 9091 ports free (meaning not used by other processes other than Test Designer) but no need to allow incoming connections on those ports.

  2. Could you tell us the supported authentication protocol in AIQ?

For Test Designer (A AIQ engine) We support

    • Basic authentication

    • NTLM authentication

    • Cookies authentication

    • Digest authentication

Now, in order to login into AIQ itself, we have

    • Internal credentials system

    • LDAP
