Recommended guidance

Run SoapUI scripts as functional tests in AIQ only when a SoapUI asset remains part of the customer workflow. For new API automation, evaluate whether Service Suite can replace or simplify the legacy SoapUI dependency.

Before running

• Confirm SoapUI version, script location, dependencies, environment, and credentials.
• Use safe placeholders or approved secret storage for endpoints and tokens.
• Validate network, proxy, certificate, and firewall access from the AIQ host.
• Define pass/fail criteria and expected artifacts.

Validation workflow

1. Run the SoapUI script outside AIQ first to confirm it is valid.
2. Run a small AIQ functional test wrapper.
3. Review logs, return codes, assertions, and generated reports.
4. Document migration opportunities to Service Suite if the script is redundant.
