What is GENI Script Generation?
GENI is Appvance’s generative AI-powered automation engine. It converts plain-English test cases into fully executable test scripts within minutes — eliminating the need for manual testers, scripting, and recorders.
In short: you describe what to test in English, and GENI writes the automated test script for you — in bulk, and up to 400x faster than a human scripter.
Important — GENI Script Generation is NOT AISG. GENI is Appvance’s generative AI offering that converts English test cases into executable test scripts. AISG (AI Script Generation) is the autonomous-testing module inside Appvance IQ that explores applications and builds the AIQ Digital Twin. They are different things. AISG is documented in its own book: AI Script Generation (Autonomous Testing).
Key numbers
GENI vs AISG — side by side
| GENI Script Generation | AISG (AI Script Generation) |
|---|---|
| Appvance’s generative AI offering that converts plain-English test cases into executable test scripts | AIQ’s autonomous-testing module that explores applications and creates the Digital Twin (.abp) |
| 100 scripts per hour · 400x faster than human scripters | Formerly “Blueprint Designer” / “AI Blueprinting”; under Autonomous Testing in AIQ 5.2+ |
| Converts plain-English test cases into scripts using specially tuned transformer models and a proprietary code generator | Explores the application, discovers pages and states, and produces the Digital Twin |
GENI Script Generation does not use Blueprint / Digital Twin technology. The Digital Twin is built by AISG — a separate module documented in AI Script Generation (Autonomous Testing).
How GENI works — at a glance
- Import your test cases — the English, step-by-step scenarios you want to automate.
- Run the GENI process — GENI interprets each English test case and generates the scripts.
- Use your scripts as automated regression tests — run them in AIQ, on demand or in CI/CD.
