Encrypt and Decrypt DPL Data
Encrypt and Decrypt DPL Data
Use this article when DPL-based operational test data must be encrypted or decrypted as part of an approved AIQ workflow. Treat encryption keys, secrets, and decrypted values as sensitive data.
Recommended guidance
- Use encryption only for approved test data handling requirements.
- Store keys and secrets in secured variables or an approved secret store.
- Do not write decrypted values to logs, screenshots, reports, or shared artifacts.
- Use synthetic or masked data whenever possible.
- Document key owner, rotation, retention, and recovery expectations.
Validation workflow
- Test encryption and decryption with non-sensitive sample data.
- Confirm DPL output is usable by Scenario Editor or the target workflow.
- Verify logs do not expose plaintext values.
- Run a small smoke test before using the DPL in a larger suite.
