Test Mobile Responsiveness in a Browser

Use browser-based mobile responsiveness testing to validate layout behavior at common mobile viewport sizes. This is useful for responsive web applications, but it does not replace testing on real mobile devices when device-specific behavior matters.

What to validate

  • Navigation, forms, and primary actions fit the mobile viewport.
  • Text, buttons, and input fields remain readable and usable.
  • Important content is not hidden behind fixed headers, footers, or overlays.
  • Scenario Editor steps use stable locators that are not tied to desktop-only layout assumptions.

Good practices

  1. Test the smallest supported viewport first.
  2. Validate at least one common phone and one tablet breakpoint when applicable.
  3. Confirm critical flows on a real device or emulator before release decisions.
