Determining the Length of Tests

One way of considering the difference between functional tests and performance tests is a functional test operates a use case as a single virtual user once. A performance test operates the use case in multiple concurrently running virtual users. As a functional test, the Controller window shows the duration of each step measured in milliseconds.

After AIQ operates a test use the Analyze button from the Start Screen to view the test details. Choose the execution from the list. The Moving Average chart shows a moving average of transaction times through the duration of the test.

The Transaction Distribution chart shows the times to operate each transaction through the time of the test.
