What Can Go Wrong
What can go wrong and how to solve it
Unified Test Platform uses a relational database (RDBMS) for its Repository. Unified Test Platform logs every test operation, test step, and monitored resource to the Repository.
Unified Test Platform supports MySQL and Oracle. Contact Appvance Global Services for support of IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server. See the Repository configuration in the Appvance IQ chapter for details.
Please check the Output window for error messages. Select Output logs from the options link from the Start Screen. When communicating issues to Appvance or members of the Unified Test Platform community, use the Copy All button in the Output window to send the internal status of Unified Test Platform with your issue report.
The following issues may keep you from your desired results. Here is a list of issues and discussion of solutions:
-
Cannot open a TestScenario or Controller. Unified Test Platform checks connectivity with the Results Repository (normally MySQL or Oracle) while it opens a Controller. Use the Results tab in Preferences to validate your Repository settings and connectivity
-
Unified Test Platform Results charts not appearing in your browser. Try another browser. Use the Results tab in Preferences to validate your Repository settings and connectivity. Confirm the TestScenario Options panel has the correct settings for your Results Repository
-
Request/Response values do not appear in the reports. Confirm the Save Request/Response option is selected in the Scenario Builder's Options panel
