Supported AWS Instance Types for AIQ

Choose AWS instance types for AIQ based on the role of the host, expected workload, browser or API execution volume, storage needs, and monitoring results. Instance-type guidance can become outdated as AWS offerings and AIQ requirements change.

Selection factors

  • AIQ application server, database, Test Node, reporting, or utility role.
  • CPU, memory, disk throughput, network throughput, and browser concurrency.
  • Operating system and dependency compatibility.
  • Cloud region availability, cost model, and scaling policy.
  • Performance test load profile and evidence retention needs.

Validation workflow

  1. Start from the current AIQ system requirements and cloud architecture guidance.
  2. Run representative smoke and load tests on the chosen instance family.
  3. Monitor CPU, memory, disk, network, and browser stability.
  4. Resize based on evidence instead of copying old environment sizes blindly.
