Use AIQ monitors to observe target behavior and support execution analysis. Monitors should help explain run health, environment behavior, or application symptoms without replacing scenario validations.
When monitors help
- Tracking availability or health signals during long executions.
- Comparing application or environment behavior against test results.
- Collecting evidence for performance or reliability analysis.
Good practices
- Monitor only signals that support the test objective.
- Document thresholds, sampling behavior, and environment assumptions.
- Review monitor data alongside output, reports, and Test Node health.
- Remove monitors that no longer map to maintained systems or useful signals.
