Lesser number of requests

Why do we see lesser number of requests under a given URL in Appvance IQ Step times Reports?

User runs a designer script and generates a Iteration summary / Step times report. In the report there is a column to view Request name, here user see lesser number of request for each action performed. But for same action when looked in Firebug user could see many number of requests.

Example: www.appvance.com, in firebug we see 84 requests for appvance.com

but in APC report we just see 11 requests.

Reason: Appvance IQ does not wait until last resource is loaded in a page to end a particular step. Since the moment the step starts it begins looking for the element needed and when it is accessible it executes the action and passes to next step, regardless of the ongoing loading of css, js, ajax processes, images, etc. that are happening in the background.

So in a given execution a particular step might get some requests during the time it executes, but in the next execution the same step might not get any requests as it took less time. There the difference in count for request and steps and the subsequent impact on throughput calculation (sum of all requests sizes).

This does not happen in protocol technologies as HAR.
