Enabling Chrome Flash plugin and other settings using Chrome Browser Cloud Management

Chrome Browser Cloud Management Settings - Legacy Flash Reference

This page is retained only as a legacy reference. Adobe Flash is obsolete and modern Chrome versions no longer support enabling the Flash plugin for normal testing. Do not use this article to recommend Flash-based workflows for current AIQ testing.

Current guidance

  • Use Chrome Browser Cloud Management only for supported browser policies such as downloads, certificates, pop-ups, extensions, proxy settings, or managed profiles.
  • Replace Flash-dependent test coverage with supported application behavior whenever possible.
  • Document any customer-specific legacy dependency and the approved replacement plan.
  • Validate policy changes in a small browser group before applying them broadly.
  • Do not weaken browser security settings unless the customer has explicitly approved the test requirement.

Validation workflow

  1. Confirm the exact Chrome policy that the test requires.
  2. Apply the policy to a controlled test browser group.
  3. Run a small AIQ smoke test and review browser behavior.
  4. Record policy owner, scope, and rollback plan.

Obsolete-content note: Flash-specific instructions are obsolete and should be removed or consolidated if no legacy customer dependency remains.
