Appvance IQ (AIQ) 5.3.2 Release Notes

Summary

This release focuses on improvements across API Testing, AISG, Web & Mobile Designers, CI/CD, and Controller stability. We’ve improved platform reliability and enhanced authentication support.

New Features

  • Expanded SQL Authentication Support
    Added support for connecting to MSSQL using ActiveDirectoryPassword and IntegratedSecurity authentication (Azure environments).
  • CI/CD Secret Manager Integration
    CI/CD pipelines can now securely use external secret managers as parameters when executing scenarios.
  • FFMPEG Integration (AI Assert)
    Integrated FFMPEG into AIQ (Controller/TestNode) to enhance media handling capabilities.
  • API Designer Improvements
    • Improved visibility of response codes when importing YAML files.
    • Enhanced readability of Locker blocks when adding new parameters.
    • Better handling of DPL variable replacements in API scripts.

Summary of Improvements

API Testing & Designer

  • Fixed issue where copied blocks were renamed “Unnamed block.”
  • Resolved double-curly-brace values being incorrectly treated as variables in request bodies.
  • Fixed null pointer exceptions when running .api scripts.
  • Corrected DPL values not being replaced properly during execution.
  • Resolved issue where failure reports did not display the associated test case name.

AISG

  • Improved performance for initial AISG scans.
  • Fixed timeout issues when using SmartTags + Inputs scan types.
  • Resolved cases where certain buttons were not detected by AISG.
  • Addressed scenarios where blueprint files could not be opened.
  • Fixed issues where AISG execution would stall in CI/CD pipelines.

Web & Desktop Designer

  • Resolved iframe recording issues in Web Designer.
  • Fixed getFile 500 errors preventing Visual Accessor from displaying.
  • Corrected encrypted DPL conversion display inconsistencies.
  • Fixed home repository visibility inconsistencies in File Explorer.

Mobile Designer

Controllers & TestNode

  • Resolved out-of-memory crashes on Linux controllers.
  • Fixed browser launch failures for Chrome and Edge using WebDriver.
  • Improved S3 authentication handling with proper token refresh.
  • Addressed unresponsive AIQ behavior in Ubuntu environments.
  • Fixed dashboard reporting gaps for failed and slow requests.

Service Suite & AIQ

Overall Improvements

  • Increased stability in CI/CD and large-scale execution environments.
  • Enhanced API script reliability and variable handling.
  • Improved scan accuracy and timeout management in AISG.
  • Better system resource handling to prevent controller crashes.
  • Strengthened authentication and security integrations.
