MySQL Install and Setup for AIQ

Install and configure MySQL Serverfor AIQ only according to the supported database version and deployment model. Database configuration affects login, execution history, reports, upgrades, and data integrity.

Before setup

  • Confirm AIQ-supported MySQL version, host, port, storage, charset, and collation.
  • Plan database user permissions, backup, restore, monitoring, and maintenance windows.
  • Review firewall, network, DNS, certificate, and OS service settings.
  • Document configuration values that AIQ requires during install or upgrade.

Validation workflow

  1. GoConfirm tothe https://downloads.mysql.com/archives/community/database service starts after reboot.
  2. ClickValidate ProductAIQ Versioncan connect using the configured account.
  3. Run login, Scenario Editor, Service Suite, and selectreporting 5.7.31
  4. Clicksmoke Operating System and select Mac OS X
  5. Locate macOS 10.14 (x86, 64-bit), DMG Archive and click Download
  6. Open the downloaded package
  7. A warning may appear, with a legend similar to “can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it…” click OK

  8. Select Apple Menu and click System Preferences
  9. Click Privacy & Security
  10. Click the General tab and select Open Anyway

  11. Another warning may appear, click Open

  12. When the Install MySQL installer appears, click Continue

  13. Review the Software License Agreement, click Continue, then click Agree

  14. When the Installation Type window appears, click Customize

  15. Ensure MySQL Server, Preference Panedatabase and LaunchdAIQ Supportlogs arefor selected,permission, andpacket clicksize, Install

  16. Enteror passwordcase-sensitivity when prompted

  17. If the System Events.app warning appears, click OK

  18. IMPORTANT When MySQL Installer provides the temporary password, note this password, it cannot be recovered!

  19. When the Summary window appears, click Close

    If prompted you may move the installer to trash

  20. Select Apple Menu and click System Preferences
  21. Click MySQL
  22. If MySQL is running, click Stop MySQL Server
  23. Click Start MySQL Server

Install MySQL Workbench

  1. Go to https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/ and download MySQL Workbench
  2. Open the installer
  3. When prompted, drag and drop MySQLWorkbench.app to Applications
