Set Up an AWS RDS MySQL Instance for AIQ

Set up AWS RDS MySQL for AIQ only after confirming the supported database version, network architecture, security groups, parameter group settings, backup policy, and operational ownership.

Configuration checklist

  • MySQL version, instance class, storage, Multi-AZ, backup retention, and maintenance window.
  • VPC, subnet group, security group, DNS, TLS, and connectivity from AIQ hosts.
  • Parameter settings required by AIQ, including packet size and case behavior where applicable.
  • Database user permissions, rotation, monitoring, and restore process.

Validation workflow

  1. Test connectivity from the AIQ application host.
  2. Install or migrate the AIQ schema using approved scripts.
  3. Run AIQ smoke tests for login, scenarios, Service Suite, and reports.
  4. Document final endpoint, parameter group, backup, monitoring, and owner details.
