General Scenario Properties

The Info panel has a drop-down to select different Scenario Test types, below is the list of Test types.

  • Unit Test

  • Functional Test

  • Database Test

  • Performance Test

  • Load Test

  • App Penetration Test

  • Soak Test

  • Shock Test

  • DDOS Test

  • Synthetic Test

Above the Info panel has the File Menu, which has options to 'Create New Scenario', 'Open an existing Scenario', 'Save', and 'Save As' the scenarios that are created,

Next to the File Menu, displays the Name of the currently open scenario with the .scenario extension, or simply 'New-Scenario' for any new/unsaved scenario.

Note: As a good practice, Save all the Resources which include the Appvance Designer scripts, Any other test types, CSV files, and the Scenario in the same folder for the Resources to be picked up and for the Scenario to run with the required resources.

Info panel also is for viewing and editing meta-data about this scenario: Author Name, Creator, Links, Versions, and Categories. These are text fields. These fields are used for good bookkeeping activities.

Include Scenario checkbox: Selecting the check-box will have the browse button enabled - This functionality is only for Appvance Internal purpose to run internal smoke test scenarios.
