How to access two different application at the same time in a single script.

  1. Navigate to any URL Eg: https://demosite.appvance.com/
  2. Perform some steps
  3. Add new action called “Open Tab” and add a URL “https://www.apple.com/ “
  4. Store any value for any element on the page
  5. Use Select Window action and go to 1st URL i.e https://demosite.appvance.com/
  6. Click on the search text field icon on the Appvance Demo site app
  7. Use the Variable on the text field which was stored in the Apple website
  8. You will be able to search with the created variable in 2nd application
  9. User can use Select Window to move Back and Forth in both the applications.

Window and variable handling

Open the second application in its own tab, store the required value before switching windows, and use the exact window-selection action supported by the script. Keep each application’s locators scoped to its active window; after switching back, verify the target page is ready before using the stored variable. This prevents a value from being applied to the wrong document.
