Validate Toast Messages in Scenario Editor

Toast messages are often temporary, so Scenario Editor tests should wait for them intentionally and capture their text before they disappear.

  • Use a conditional wait for the toast to appear.
  • Capture only the message needed for the validation.
  • Avoid fixed sleeps unless timing itself is the test objective.
  • Handle success, warning, and error toasts as distinct outcomes.

Validation workflow

  1. Trigger the application action that produces the toast.
  2. Wait for the toast container or message text to appear.
  3. Validate the expected message or status.
  4. Capture output if the toast does not appear or disappears too quickly.
