Validate Scrolling Reaches the Bottom of a Page
Validate Scrolling Reaches the Bottom of a Page
Use this pattern when a Scenario Editor test must confirm that the browser reached the bottom of a page, list, or scrollable container. This is common for lazy-loaded content, terms pages, infinite scroll, or long result lists.
Recommended checks
- Validate a stable element that appears only near the bottom.
- Check that lazy-loaded content has finished loading before continuing.
- Use a container-specific check if the page has multiple scrollable areas.
- Avoid assuming that one scroll action always reaches the bottom on every viewport.
Validation workflow
- Scroll toward the target area.
- Wait for the expected bottom marker, footer, or final item.
- Assert that the expected element or content is visible.
- Capture output if the page continues loading or the target never appears.
