AIQ Install Script for Ubuntu EC2 Machines
Recommended guidance
Use installation scripts only when they match the approved AIQ version, operating system, and deployment model. Treat old EC2 install scripts as environment-specific automation that must be reviewed before reuse.
Before running an install script
- Confirm the supported Ubuntu version, EC2 instance type, storage, network, DNS, and firewall rules.
- Review the script contents before execution; do not run unknown or outdated scripts blindly.
- Use approved repositories, package sources, certificates, and installation artifacts.
- Store secrets outside the script and inject them through approved secure mechanisms.
- Confirm backup, rollback, monitoring, and access requirements before installation.
Post-install validation
- Confirm AIQ services start correctly after reboot.
- Validate browser, Test Node, database, repository, and file permissions.
- Check Output Logs and system logs for startup errors.
- Run a small Scenario Editor smoke test and a Service Suite smoke test.
- Document the installed AIQ version, OS version, instance details, and configuration changes.
Obsolescence note: If the script targets an old AIQ release, old Ubuntu release, or retired infrastructure pattern, update the script before use or replace it with the current deployment process.
