Identify AIQ Java Processes in Windows Task Manager
Identify AIQ Java Processes in Windows Task Manager
Last reviewed: September 21, 2026
Use this article to identify which Java process belongs to an AIQ service before restarting, monitoring, or collecting diagnostics.
When to use this guidance
- Multiple Java processes are running on the AIQ host.
- You need to avoid stopping the wrong service.
- Support asks for process ID, memory, or command-line details.
Recommended approach
- Open Task Manager with administrative visibility on the AIQ host.
- Enable columns such as PID, command line, and working directory.
- Match each Java process to its AIQ service by path, command-line arguments, service name, and start time.
- Use Resource Monitor or service management tools if Task Manager does not show enough detail.
- Record the PID and service name in the support ticket before taking action.
Note: Do not end Java processes as a first step. Stop or restart AIQ services through the supported service controls whenever possible.
