Integrate AIQ with Datadog APM

Use Datadog APM integration when AIQ executions need to be correlated with application traces, infrastructure metrics, or service health data. Coordinate with the application and observability teams before enabling collection.

Configuration checklist

  • Confirm the Datadog site, API/application keys, agent endpoint, and environment tags.
  • Use secured storage for keys and avoid printing them in AIQ output logs.
  • Tag AIQ runs with useful identifiers such as environment, scenario, build, release, or execution ID.
  • Verify that collected data does not include sensitive payloads or customer secrets.
  • Align retention and dashboard ownership with the observability team.

Validation workflow

  1. Run a small AIQ execution that calls an instrumented application.
  2. Confirm traces or metrics appear in Datadog with the expected tags.
  3. Compare AIQ timing with Datadog service timing for the same test window.
  4. Document dashboard links, tag conventions, and troubleshooting contacts.
